Meet our PTkids Staff
Traci Lambert-Director of PTkids Preschool:
Traci is one busy lady! She is wife to Justin, mom to Ashlynn and Tessa, and as well as heading up PTkids Preschool, she works as a Physician Assistant. Traci brings a wealth of experience to her role as Director of our PTkids Preschool Ministry, and her heart beats to show young children the overwhelming love and grace of their Heavenly Father. When she is able to grab some spare time, Traci enjoys snuggling with baby Tessa, reading, watching movies on the couch with Justin, working out, and cooking.
Jeri Taylor-Director of PTkids:
Jeri is one of the most well-traveled members of our staff, as she and husband John periodically cross the map from coast to coast visiting their blended family of seven grown children and three beautiful grandchildren. Jeri’s passion for children’s ministry has grown out of the joys and challenges that she has faced as a mom, and she has a deep desire to equip parents with the tools they need to grow strong families. Jeri loves to “see the light go on” as a child grasps a new concept—from learning a game in PTkids to understanding the truth that God loves them no matter what! Jeri enjoys skiing, swimming, gardening, playing games (and winning!), and being a Grandma.
Charlotte Morgan-Orange Room Director (age four and pre-K fives):
Charlotte loves teaching children about God's love and the principles found in His true word, the Bible. She has been married to the love of her life, Mike, for 28 years and has adjusted admirably to life with an adult son, Sam. She also enjoys spending time with her mom and three sisters. And she loves kids. From rocking babies to rocking the house with four-year-olds, she feels uniquely blessed that God and parents have allowed her the greatest, most joyful serving opportunity of all - spending time with the precious preschoolers of PTCC. Her hobbies include scrapbooking, crocheting baby blankets, beating Sam's records on Wii and playing online computer games with Mike. She "fights for the right" as her alter ego "Kapowie", a gnomish warrior with bubblegum-pink pigtails wielding flashing sword and axe! She retired from teaching in 1994 after twelve years in Texas public schools and now works at Countrywide Bank. Has it been mentioned yet that she loves preschoolers?
Vicky Henry-Blue Room Director (Kindergarten and 1st grade):
Vicky loves playing with the kids in her Blue Room, and watching them have fun as they learn about God. She says she is blessed to serve with so many wonderful and enthusiastic volunteers who are part of the PTkids team! On weekends Vicky shares her creative gifts with our Kindergarteners and 1st graders, and during the week Vicky’s creativity is expressed in her job as a floral designer. She loves to spend time with her family (husband Kurt and son Gregg), read, watch movies, and enjoys watching Gregg play basketball and football.
Susan Billy-Yellow Room Director (2nd and 3rd grade):
Susan has been a part of PTkids for five years, and says that it didn’t take long for her to realize that she loves teaching children almost as much as she loves being around their playful energy and loving hearts! Susan loves to teach the 2nd and 3rd graders in our Yellow Room that they are unique creations of God, and she loves to see their excitement as they understand how the Bible relates to their lives. In her position as Casting Director for Internet/Catalog Advertising at JCPenney, Susan enjoys traveling and working with many beautiful and artistic people. Susan and husband Tony have one son, Bryce, who is quite a soccer player! When Susan is not watching Bryce play soccer, she enjoys making all sorts of art projects, as well as baking and decorating cakes.
Jeff Harrell-Purple Room Director (4th and 5th grade):
As kids enter the Purple Room on Sunday morning they know they will be enthusiastically greeted with a high five or a crazy handshake as "Mr. Jeff" makes each child feel welcome. As a father of four, Jeff knows that the 4th and 5th grade years are critical in the spiritual development of kids. He is passionate about showing kids how to have a real-world relationship with God, and teaching them that it is not enough to know God’s word, but we must also do what it says. Jeff loves his family (wife Allison & kids Hannah, Hayden, Ava, and Landon), playing basketball, following his beloved Aggies, eating sushi, and watching “Biggest Loser” and “American Idol” with his kids.
