Christie Elementary School is the only bilingual school within Frisco ISD, and is located right behind Preston Trail Community Church. Through T.E.A.M. Christie, Preston Trail people work to support the Christie faculty and students by Teaching, Equipping and Mentoring.
The primary way to get involved in T.E.A.M. Christie is our Compassion Ministries Literacy program, which allows team members, or coaches, to spend 30 minutes reading with a K-5th grade child at Christie Elementary.
The children who have been identified for the program are in great need of reading practice, and benefit greatly from having stories read to them as well as having the opportunity to read stories aloud to a T.E.A.M. Christie coach. T.E.A.M. Christie coaches are encouraged to develop relationships with these students by regularly meeting with them each week. This time together has the potential to make a lifelong impact on a child’s future.
