When he came to earth, Jesus went out of his way to show God’s compassion to those who were outside his circle of friends. He invites us to join him in looking beyond our comfortable circle of friends to show God’s compassion to those beyond our in-group and beyond the walls of PTCC.
Here are five specific ministries of mercy that we participate in – one on the other side of the world, one across the Texas/Mexico border, and three in our own community.
International
Aceh, Indonesia – help tsunami survivors
rebuild their communities through Compassion Frisco
Nuevo Laredo, Mexico – serve children
in the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage across the border
Local
Clothe-a-Child – help clothe underprivileged
children in Frisco/Little Elm every October
Frisco Family Services – provide assistance
to local families in need
Christie Elementary School – mentor bilingual
children at the only bilingual elementary school in Frisco … which
just happens to be in our own backyard.
If you are interested in participating in any of these compassion
ministries with your time or your resources, stop by The Kiosks or email info@prestontrail.org.
