A statement of our vision was
established for PTCC before a single service was ever held. Two
of the components of that vision are especially applicable to missions
and compassion ministries:
We envision …
A Life-Changing Church—that turns seekers
into believers, believers into disciples, and disciples into
disciple-makers (Matthew 4:19)
An Influential Church—that serves the
needs of the people in the surrounding area, in Jesus' name,
seeking to impact an entire community (Matthew 5:13-16)
Currently we have five specific ministries of mercy that we participate
in – one out of the country, one across the Texas-Mexico border,
and three in our own community. These ministries are:
International
Aceh, Indonesia – help tsunami survivors
re-build their communities through Compassion Frisco
Nuevo Laredo, Mexico – serve children
in the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage across the border
Local
Clothe-a-Child – help clothe underprivileged
children in Frisco/Little Elm every October
Frisco Family Services – provide assistance
to families in need
Christie Elementary School – read to and mentor bi-lingual
children at the only bilingual elementary school in Frisco … which
just happens to be in our own backyard.
If you are interested in participating in any of these compassion
ministries with your time or your resources, stop by the Yes! Table, email info@prestontrail.org,
or give us a call at 972-668-1244.
