Jim Johnson - Senior Pastor

After pastoring in Atlanta, Georgia for ten years, Jim and his wife Robin, along with good friends Paul and Denise Basden, moved back to their home state of Texas in 2002 to start a church for people who have given up on church but not on God.
In a previous millennium Jim received a BA and PhD from Baylor University. He and Robin have three grown sons, Ben, an attorney in Dallas; Tyler, an aspiring actor in LA; and Brady, a writer who lives in Austin. Thanks to Ben, they also have a beautiful daughter-in-law, Bethanne, who is a concert pianist. All six Johnsons are graduates of Baylor University. Sic 'em Bears!
While Preston Trail is Jim’s passion, tennis is a close second. He also enjoys movies with his wife and watching sporting events with his boys. God is currently increasing both Jim’s and Robin’s patience with the help of a “chiwienie” mutt named Spaulding.
Paul Basden - Senior Pastor

Paul is a native Dallasite who moved around to Virginia and Alabama before coming back home to the Lone Star State. He is a graduate of Baylor University and received his PhD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Paul and his wife Denise have two daughters: Kristen, a huge Alabama fan and ESPN junkie; and Kari, a singer (she and husband Jared Dobbs make up the Texas folk duo MOSEY). Paul and Denise are grandparents to the cutest little boys in the world, Harper and Landry.
Paul enjoys watching sports on TV with anyone, movies at home with his family, working crossword puzzles with Denise, eating food (especially chocolate), working out (so he can eat more chocolate), laughing, playing guitar and giving gifts to his family and friends.
His work at PTCC includes teaching on Sundays, heading up Men’s Ministry and working closely with our compassion team.
