One More Friend

During this five-week message series, kids will learn how to be a true friend. We will look to the example of Jesus, who was a friend to the people he met during his lifetime and also to each one of us, as he chose to take our punishment.

The Chosen One (Jesus)

Bible Story: John 3:16

Bottom Line:  God chose Jesus to take our punishment for us.

Memory Verse: Be kind and tender to one another.  Forgive each other, just as God forgave you because of what Christ has done.  Ephesians 4:32

Virtue: Confidence; putting your trust in someone you can depend on.

Basic Truth: I can trust God no matter what.

The Wrong One (Levi)

Bible Story: Luke 5:27-32

Bottom Line: Jesus came to help those who need him the most.

Memory Verse:  Be kind and tender to one another.  Forgive each other, just as      God forgave you because of what Christ has done.  Ephesians 4:32

Virtue: Confidence; putting your trust in someone you can depend on.

Basic Truth: I can trust God no matter what.

The Lost One (The Lost Sheep)

Bible Story: Matthew 18:10-14

Bottom Line: God will drop everything to find the One who is lost.

Virtue: Confidence; putting your trust in someone you can depend on.

The Broken One (The Guy on a Mat)

Bible Story: Mark 2:1-12

Bottom Line: A true friend always wants the best for their friends.

The Last One (The Widow and Her Penny)

Bible Story: Luke 21:1-4

Bottom Line: In God’s eyes sometimes the smallest gift is actually the biggest!
