What's a podcast?
A podcast is a feed that you subscribe to. It allows your computer to
automatically download MP3s of the messages from our weekend services
as soon as they become available so you can listen to them on your
computer or place them on your iPod.
How do I do it?
It's pretty simple:
-
Click here to download iTunes onto your computer. iTunes is a (FREE) cross-platform (works on Windows and Mac OS) program that allows you to subscribe to podcast feeds.
-
Once you have successfully installed iTunes, you want to subscribe to our podcast feed. Once inside iTunes, click the "Podcasts" button (looks like the letter "i" with a purple glow), then click "Podcast Directory" at the bottom of the window.
-
Once in the Podcast Directory, click on "Religion & Spirituality" which is listed in the Category section on the left side of the page.
-
Once you have clicked this, iTunes will ask you to select a genre. Scroll down and select "Podcasts."
-
Now select "Religion & Spirituality" in the category section. This will open an alphabetical list of all podcasts classified under the Religion & Spritiuality category. Scroll down to find the podcast entitled "Preston Trail Community Curch Podcast ."
-
You can either click "Subscribe" from this list, or click on the arrow symbol in the "Album" column for more detailed information about our podcast. You can also subscribe to our podcast from this more detailed page.
Once you have chosen to subscribe to our podcast, iTunes will download it right to your computer.
Each week we will update the podcast with the new weekend message. You will have access to that simply by right clicking on our podcast in your iTunes podcast list and choosing "Update Podcast."
If anything doesn't work or you can't figure out what to do, try one of the options in the iTunes Help menu, or choose the "Report a Concern" option at the bottom of the page.
Don't
worry if you don't have an iPod. You can still listen from your computer
by downloading the online sermon audio files here.
