One of the biggest events at PTCC takes place this Sunday, May 21st at 5:00pm at the home of Brian and Cindy Reinken, 4401 Mira Vista Drive in Frisco. An ice cream social will follow baptism, so bring a gallon of your favorite ice cream and a scooper if you can. Directions to the event are available here. MORE

New Summer Schedule Starts Next Week
On Memorial Day Weekend, Sunday May 28th, Preston Trail Community Church will begin its summer schedule. We will have ONE service at 10:00 AM. Curbside and Backyard will also be at this time.
Our last KidStreet will be on Sunday, May 21st. Join us in celebrating our last time with the current KidStreet gang...”So long, gonna miss ya when you're gone...” will never sound the same.
We will resume back to two services starting this fall. More details will be released as we get closer to that time.

Mark Your Calendar - Adventure Camp
It's time to start planning that summer calendar. Before it gets too busy, make sure to add Adventure Camp, which will be June 5-9 for graduating 2nd-5th graders. For more information, contact Jeri Taylor at jeritaylor323@msn.com.

Coming Soon - Youth Camp
Also, plan ahead for Youth Camp, which will happen July 17-21 in Corpus Christi, TX. Cost of the camp will be $365 which includes a 4 night 5 day stay in the Holiday Inn - Emerald Beach, meals, as well as a great speaker and band. You don't want to miss out. Discover Preston Trail Class
New to PTCC? Join Pastors Jim and Paul on Sundays at 11:00 AM as we take a look at our church and where it is going. This is an opportunity for all guests who are new to PTCC to learn more. Session will meet at the AMC Theatre. Please signup at the Life Group table. A 5 week Partnership Class will follow for all those interested in becoming a PTCC partner.MORE

Three Big Events

Three huge events are happening this weekend – here they are:

Baptism is this Sunday afternoon at 5 PM at the house of Brian and Cindy Reinken. See map. Right now 18 people are signed up to be baptized. That’s a great response! Join us for a moving service as these folks confess publicly their trust in Christ and love for God.  I’m always amazed at the power of God’s presence at our baptism celebrations. Don’t miss it … and if you know how to make homemade ice cream, make your favorite flavor and bring it with you!

Lisa Lloyd’s last day is this Sunday morning. Several weeks ago Lisa accepted an invitation to join the Prestonwood Baptist Church staff in the area of women’s ministry. See her letter. Although we hate to see her leave, her husband Markus has also joined the Prestonwood staff as director of creative programming for children. I know they need to serve in the same church … but we will surely miss Lisa. She has been a fabulous staff member here: organized, passionate about her ministry, a woman who keeps her word, committed to excellence, … the list goes on. Don’t miss Lisa’s last Sunday at PTCC – we will honor her at the end of each KidStreet.

The Da Vinci Code film is coming to theatres this weekend. While there’s been a lot of hoopla over the movie, here’s my simple advice: if you remember that it’s 100% fictional (especially the crazy idea that Jesus and Mary Magdalene wed and had a child together!), go see the movie if you want to; if you think the fictional elements will make you stumble spiritually, by all means don’t go see it.
