PROMOTION SUNDAY - This Sunday Aug. 13 kids in all PTCC programs will be promoted to their next "grade." Please have your child report to the following rooms:
*Birth - age 3 -- Backyard (Mezzanine level)
*Age 4 - 1st grade -- CurbSide 1 (Theater 15)
*2nd grade - 5th grade -- CurbSide 2 (Theater 1)

Discover Preston Trail is an informational meeting hosted by our seniorpastors where they share the mission and vision of PTCC, as well as what it means to participate fully as a partner. The next Discover Preston Trail is scheduled for Sunday, August 20 from 5:30 - 7:00 PM at the home of John & Jeri Taylor (6091 Rachel Drive). Women’s Fall Bible Study - Sign Up Today!
This Fall, Carla Moss, Director of Women’s Ministries, will be leading a new study called The Power of A Praying Woman. The session will run 11 weeks. Please signup today if you are interested. The number of groups, date and times will be finalized once signup is completed. The study will start in late August/early September. In January 2007, we will start our large group/small group expanded bible study program. The Spring Bible Study will be Beth’s Moore’s Daniel. Trading Up

I can still remember the first house Denise and I bought. It cost $34,500, was exceedingly small inside, and was located in a not-so-safe old neighborhood in southwest Fort Worth. As our realtor said, “When you look at houses on this street, you go by the block. This block is okay … for now.” Not a great selling point, I realize – but we were young, just out of college, and had to have our first house!

Since then, we have bought four more houses. Each time we “traded up.” That is, we purchased a nicer home with more conveniences and amenities. (And of course, we paid more each time!)

At PTCC we are about to trade up! Since September 2002 we have met at the AMC Theatre at Stonebriar Centre. This has been a great location for a start-up church – comfortable seating, ample parking, familiar location. But it’s not all we need. For example, we don’t have a youth room or adequate space for preschoolers, and the space is available to us only a few hours a week. But all of that changes later this Fall, when we move into our new building on Main Street.

To get us ready for the big move, Jim and I will be bringing a series of messages on “Trading Up.” We will challenge you to remember our mission and vision … understand the purpose of each room … realize the importance of first impressions … protect our values … and be flexible! The dates and topics are as follows:

August 13                “Trading Up”
August 20                “Room By Room”
August 27                “Curb Appeal”
September 3            “Valuables”
September 10             “Trading Spaces”

We would love for you to bring your friends to this new series. It will give them a clear explanation of who we are as a church and why we do what we do.

Join us WEEKLY on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM, for a deeper service of biblical teaching, looking into the Life of Jesus. Led by our senior pastors, this will be a meaningful time of prayer, worship and teaching. 7:00 pm AMC Theatre.
